There are many ways to welcome people. Many languages, and many variations of them. However, whatever language you speak, and whatever “Welcome” you recognise above, you will only read one kind of language in this blog: The language of Football!

I am an 18-year-old Swede who loves football (the English one, known as soccer to Americans and Australians I reckon), and the absolute favourite team is Liverpool Football Club. It has not always been, but it is and will be for the rest of my life.
When I was younger I cared little about football. Played it for fun like all my friends, and to be honest I was not very good at it. But you grow up. Nine of ten of your friends stop playing and start partying instead. But that is not my way. I have discovered the realm of football as I have got older, and now I frankly must admit that I am an addict of it.
The foremost reason that I started to follow exactly Liverpool has its foundation some years back, when I saw Luis Garcia in action (currently playing for Atletico Madrid). Oh, he was my favourite player, even though I did not follow Liverpool at all. Then we also had Steven Gerrard – what a player. Then I started to follow Garcia a bit more, and then we had Milan Baros, Fernando Morientes, Steve Finnan, Peter Crouch, and…
You might notice that I am nothing but a rookie when it comes to Liverpool.
I am too young to have seen Ian Rush, Alan Hansen, Glenn Hysén, John Barnes, and all the other players that represented the world’s finest football club during its better days. A lot of you older fans can say that Fernando Torres reminds you of Ian Rush, or than you think Daniel Agger is becoming a new Alan Hansen – I can never really say that.
So, I live in the now.
I have just recently joined a new team, in the Junior Premier Division Elite series in Sweden (I am not among the better of them, that I can tell…) and side by side with the football I attend the IB programme, the International Baccalaureate program; an international, English-speaking programme aimed at increasing peace, and bla, bla, bla… However, it is a very demanding programme, so therefore I must cover my back already now by saying that I will not put up posts every day, I just cannot make time for it!
But I will try.
Chose one of the posts in the margin to the right to enter my world of Liverpool FC, or chose one of the categories to see what I am writing about in general. Please, also vote for my polls that I update ever now and then, and if you are a real fan, of course you comment on things you either agree upon, or disagree about.
I will try to post as often as I can, so bare with me.
Already then,
Here we go.
